The group with the Director at TEDx University of Macau event - January 2016

Thank you for your interest in the Global and Community Mental Health Research Group! We are excited about doing meaningful research that directly benefits community health. We are seeking partners in this mission.

There are several ways to join the research team:

Fogarty Global Health Fellows Program

Website: https://globalhealth.unc.edu/ujmt-fogarty-global-health-fellowship/

The Fogarty Global Health Fellowship, sponsored by the US National Institute of Health Fogarty International Center, is an opportunity to spend one year conducting health research in a lower resource environment. This program is open to pre-doctoral and postdoctoral investigators from US institutions across a number of disciplines (e.g., public health, epidemiology, psychiatry/psychology, anthropology). Dr. Hall can serve as a local mentor for this fellowship. Please contact Dr. Hall to discuss this opportunity in detail. Applications for 2015/2016 are due December 1.

Postdoctoral fellowships

Utilize your advanced training and skills to make a real difference. The research group is seeking postdoctoral fellows trained in psychology, public health and related fields to support our epidemiological and community-based mixed methods research projects. Please send inquires for opportunities opening in fall 2015.

Postgraduate researchers

PhD study at University of Macau: Our group is now seeking applications for the PhD in Psychology (to matriculate fall 2015). The University of Macau is an ideal place to pursue postgraduate training. Since we offer a PhD by research model you can spend your time outside the classroom directly engaged in research.

Masters Students

For current or prospective University of Macau Masters students, we welcome your participation in our research program. Whether you are within the psychology department or pursuing another degree program, we can explore ways you can make real contributions to community health.

Undergraduate researchers

Our team highly values undergraduate participation and engagement. You will receive the mentoring and training needed to pursue advanced training in psychology – or just to make a difference in the lives of people you care about.

Visiting researchers

We encourage people from outside the University of Macau to join our interdisciplinary team. We welcome new ideas and perspectives and welcome your collaboration in our ongoing research and can arrange short-term field-based research activities in East Asia and Southeast Asia.
