Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in the Global and Community Mental Health Research Group!

We are excited about meaningful research that directly benefits community health. We are seeking partners in this mission.

**CURRENT RECRUITMENT 2020/2021 (Please contact Prof. Hall)**

There are several ways to join the research team:

Postdoctoral fellowships

We seek accomplished and motivated emerging scholars who want to utilize their advanced training and skills to produce science that improves the health of the public. The research group is seeking postdoctoral fellows trained in public health, psychology, and related fields to support our epidemiological and community-based mixed methods research projects. Current opportunities include supporting global mental health field trials of scalable psychological interventions. Please send inquires for opportunities opening in fall 2021.

PhD student researchers

Our group is seeking applications from highly research oriented students for the PhD in Psychology (to matriculate fall 2021). Since we offer a PhD by research model you can spend your time outside the classroom directly engaged in research. All of the GCMH PhD students publish their work in top-tier journals, and routinely present at conferences.

Undergraduate researchers

Our team highly values undergraduate research participation and engagement. You will receive the mentoring and training you need to pursue advanced training in public health, applied psychology, or related fields – or just to make a difference in the lives of people you care about. All students aspiring to postgraduate study are accepted, and into excellent universities where they deepen their knowledge in their chosen fields in North America (UC San Diego; Columbia University), Asia (Hong Kong University, Nanyang Technological University), Europe/UK (University of Edinburgh; University of Nottingham), and Australia (University of Melbourne, University of Queensland). The GCMH research group will help you achieve your academic goals.

Masters Students

For current or prospective Masters students, we welcome your participation in our research program. We prize interdisciplinary collaborations, and trainees across disciplines are welcome in our group. We only ask that you be motivated to explore ways you can make real contributions to community health.
